Embed post feature of facebook and twitter let you create stories out of your posts!

All major social networks now allow public posts on the respective platforms to be embedded in other websites/blogs. This post explains the steps for all social networks.

What's the advantage? As per facebook: "The embedded post will show any media attached to it, as well as the number of likes, shares, and comments that the post has. Embedding posts will let people using your web site see the same rich information that is shown on Facebook.com, and they will enable people to follow or like content authors or Pages directly from the embed." Here is an example: http://solsarc.org/wordpress/testimonials/

Posts on social network have the inherent disadvantage that they are not linked to each other!(e.g if you went on a vacation and made status updates about it, your friends see the updates simply as unconnected posts as and when the updates are made). The embed feature can be used to string the updates into a story!

Below, I have made a collection of movie reviews but I can imagine that a better use of the embed feature would be for example to create a story(blog post) of a vacation with status updates and tweets(own and of others who went with you) in a sequence and some lines in between :)

It's nothing without the the madness! You can download and watch a movie on your laptop but you have to visit a theater to appreciate it's true beauty!
